DESCRIPTION:THE 2026 MGA FALL CRUSADEOctober 17th\n\nThe Fall Crusade is an 18-hole, four-man team, stroke-play tournament featuring three formats: Better Ball, Scramble, and Modified Chapman. Each team will rotate two partners every six holes across the three formats.\nRegistration Deadline: 5:00 PM, October 14th\nFinal Chance for Player Points\nTHE THREE FORMATS\nBetter Ball\nPartners: A+C, B+D\nEach two-man team plays Better Ball. For each hole, the better score between the two two-man teams will be combined and count as the foursome’s score.\nHandicap: 85% applied to both players\nScramble\nPartners: A+B, C+D\nEach two-man team plays a Scramble.\nHandicap: 35% of the low-handicap player + 15% of the high-handicap player\nModified Chapman\nPartners: A+D, B+C\nEach two-man team plays Modified Chapman.\nHandicap: 50% of combined handicap\nTEAM STRUCTURE & FORMAT PAIRINGS\nPlayers may form their own four-man teams. Partners for each format will be determined by handicap, with players on each team assigned a letter:\nA = Lowest Handicap → D = Highest Handicap\nRules for each format will be provided in the Notice to Players on tournament day.\nSCORING\nFor each hole, the better score between the two two-man teams will be combined and count as the foursome’s score.\nExample: During the Better Ball portion, if A+C score a 4 and B+D score a 3, the four-man team records a 3 for that hole.\nHANDICAPS\nPlayers will use their Handicap Index current as of the close of registration. The team’s net score will be calculated using the handicap allowance for each format listed above.\nFLIGHTS & PAIRINGS\nFlights will be of equal size when possible and based on aggregate Handicap Indices. Pairings will also be arranged by aggregate Handicap Indices.\nTEES\nEach team member must play from the tee box for which they qualify, regardless of whether teammates qualify for different tees.\nPRIZES & TIES\nEach flight will receive payouts, with the number of places paid determined by the size of the field. Ties may stand, with prizes distributed equally.\nPLAYER POINTS\nAll players will receive 3 points for participating.\n1st Place: +4 points\n2nd Place: +2 points\n3rd Place: +1 point\nTeams tying for the same place will receive equal points.\n\nContact the Pro Shop to register at (858) 759-5440. \n
