Is La Valle Coastal Club an equity or non-equity Club?

La Valle is a non-equity club, meaning our membership does not hold any ownership interest in the club’s assets or possess governance rights. Initiation fees are non-refundable but lower than comparable equity clubs, and members are not responsible for the cost of capital improvements. While memberships are not transferable or sellable, members are free from the worry of resignation waitlists due to needing a buyer or dealing with any assessments should the club face unexpected financial difficulties. Non-equity clubs have a vested interest in member satisfaction because it is what drives the success of the business, and they cannot create the same kind of barriers that members of equity clubs often face when they wish to leave their club.

What types of memberships are available?

Full Golf Membership: Includes unlimited daily access to the golf course and practice facility, with tournament play available. Members also enjoy tennis, pickleball, gym, pool, social and dining privileges.
Non-Resident Golf Membership: Includes unlimited daily access to the golf course and practice facility, with tournament play available. Members also enjoy tennis, pickleball, gym, pool, social and dining privileges.
Associate Golf Membership: Includes access to the golf course after 12:30 p.m. and unlimited access to the practice facility. Members also enjoy tennis, pickleball, gym, pool, social and dining privileges.
Racquet Membership: Includes tennis, pickleball, gym, pool, social and dining privileges.
Non-Resident Racquet Membership: Includes tennis, pickleball, gym, pool, social and dining privileges.
Coastal Sports Membership: Includes pickleball, gym, pool. Social and dining privileges.
Social Membership: Includes social and dining privileges.

Who qualifies for a non-resident membership?

Members who reside more than 100 miles from La Valle for more than 6 months in a given membership year.

What is the price structure for memberships?

Membership at La Valle involves two key components:

One-Time Initiation Fee: This initial, non-refundable fee secures your membership, contributing to the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the club’s facilities and services.
Monthly Dues: Regular dues are essential for covering the club’s operational expenses and ensuring we continue offering our members the highest-quality amenities and services.

Is there a food and beverage minimum?

No, Members are not required to meet any required spend at the club. We have a vibrant social community with outstanding culinary services that organically keep our members active and engaged at the club.

Can you describe the type of community at La Valle?

The La Valle membership is dynamic, diverse, and full of life. Our club is home to a broad array of people including families, professionals, and retirees. We value diversity and a family-friendly atmosphere, offering various activities and amenities to suit all interests and ages. We aim to provide a vibrant community where everyone feels welcome and can easily find activities to enjoy and people they love to spend time with.

Who can be included in a membership?

In all our membership categories we offer family memberships that include the primary member, spouse/significant other, and unmarried children under the age of 25. In the Racquet Category we also offer the option for an individual membership.

Does La Valle have corporate membership options?

Yes, we do offer corporate membership options to bona fide business entities. The holder of a corporate membership can designate individuals within their business as the designated users under the corporate membership, who are subject to approval by the club. Please inquire with our membership team regarding corporate options so we can help tailor the right membership offering for your business needs.
